Shannon Hoff Named TMA Emerging Leader

CHICAGO – Each year, TMA recognizes a member who raises the public profile of the corporate restructuring industry through their volunteer service and dedication to TMA. The Turnaround Management Association today announced that Shannon Hoff, Wells Fargo Bank N.A., was selected as the recipient of the TMA Emerging Leader of the Year. 

She will be recognized during an awards presentation at The 2016 TMA Annual Conference taking place November 3 at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The TMA Annual features a full schedule of leadership professional development panels and presentations, as well as networking and business development opportunities, including the premier of the TMA Deal Room, a room full of proprietary deal flow opportunities. Shannon Hoff, senior counsel at Wells Fargo Bank N.A., has over 12 years of experience in the restructuring and turnaround industry, and has a strong reputation as both a fierce advocate for her clients and as a sensible negotiator willing to find common ground and an amicable resolution to a legal issue. 

Shannon joined the TMA Carolinas Chapter in 2009. She is a regular attendee at chapter events, and was nominated to the Board of Directors in 2012, and recently began her second board term. In 2012, Shannon co-founded the Chapter’s TMA NextGen Committee, which she chaired from 2013-2015. During her leadership, she grew the membership from four to 32 Members. Most recently, Hoff served as the Vice Chair of the TMA Global NextGen Committee, of which she will assume the role of Chair in 2017. 

Shannon began her career with Burr & Forman, LLP, where as a bankruptcy associate, she was part of the legal team that represented Citation Corporation, a forging and casting company, in its Chapter 11 bankruptcy. 

Shannon received her B.A. in French from the University of the South and her J.D., cum laude, from Tulane University Law School, where she served as senior managing editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal.
