Every individual who earns the CTP or CTA designation is expected to serve his or her clients in an independent, competent, and professional manner, and to exercise unprejudiced and unbiased judgment on each client's behalf. Certified professionals are required to remain active in the profession, to abide by the TMA Code of Ethics, and to complete at least 30 hours of continuing professional education for CTPs (20 hours for CTAs) during each two-year reporting period, including two hours of ethics credit.

Continuing Education Credit Reporting
CTPs are required to report 30 hours of continuing education over each two-year period, including two hours of ethics credits within the two-year period.
CTAs are required to report 20 hours of continuing education over each two-year period, including two hours of ethics credits within the two-year period.
